I Saw A Purple Cat - Once I saw a purple cat wearing an orange cowboy hat. The purple cat said "Howdy do!" to a small green dog with one red shoe. Beside the dog, a snake so slender, he was wearing only one suspender stood up and danced the Irish jig with a yellow polka-dotted pig. The pig twirled right across the road to sing a song with a small pink toad. The toad looked up and saw beside her in tennis shoes a dainty spider. "Come home with me," the spider said, "And I will feed you soup and bread." So hand in hand his happy group went off to dine on black fly soup, seven loaves of pumpernickel, lemonade and one dill pickle.
In a child's world so many things can bring pure joy. For instance, the thought of a purple cat wearing an orange cowboy hat. But when a child is sick, the joy tends to fade.
